Our why

Ngā Tūāpapa (Mission):
To restore hauora and uplift the wellbeing of our communities through integrating traditional Māori healing, cultural guidance, and whenua-based rehabilitation.

Ngā Moemoea (Vision):
”Poipoia te kākano kia puāwai”
A nurtured future where whānau feel safe, supported, and seen through culturally grounded healing and mātauranga Māori to allow every seed to blossom.

Te tohu
The logo

Our tohu stems from the whakataukī - “Poipoia te kākano kia puāwai”.

Centred around a kākano (seed), our tohu symbolises potential, beginnings, and the nurturing of future growth.

Within the kākano are three koru, representing significant places our mātauranga has been sourced and the strength of whānau connections that shape identity, belonging, and continuity.

From the seed, a leaf gently sprouts, illustrating growth, renewal, and the ongoing journey of development (tipu).
